LA Clippers & Boothtube Bring a 5-Star Starting Lineup to NBA All-Star 2026

The NBA All-Star 2026 weekend in Los Angeles was a basketball fan’s dream come true. With superstars from across the league converging on the famous Intuit Dome, the excitement in the city was off the charts. To elevate this massive gathering, the NBA opened multiple fan zones around the arena, including the vibrant Blvd Fanzone. The LA Clippers wanted to ensure their footprint at the festival was absolutely unforgettable, drawing in crowds of over 5,000 daily attendees with interactive, immersive experiences that celebrated the spirit of the game.

To build the ultimate fan destination, the LA Clippers partnered with Boothtube. Instead of a single touchpoint, we deployed a full “Dream Team” roster of five distinct photo and digital activations. We had our Sketchbot, Custom Trading Cards Booth, AI photo Booth, Digital Graffiti Wall, and last but not least, our Selfie Booth.

Managing crowds of this magnitude requires variety, speed, and efficiency. By spreading five unique Boothtube experiences across the Blvd Fanzone, we kept lines moving, minimized wait times, and maximized the LA Clippers’ brand exposure.

The Robotic Shooting Guard: Sketchbot

The Sketchbot has always been an amazing activation because it serves as both a picture-taking activity and a live entertainment spectacle. Attendees posed in front of the camera for a quick close-up, and then watched in awe as their silhouettes were drawn live by a mechanical, high-speed robotic arm. It became an instant crowd-pleaser, with groups gathering just to watch the fascinating technology at work while the guest waited for their custom portrait to finish.

If you are a sports fan, you have always dreamed of having your own rookie card. Custom Trading Cards were a highly requested feature for this event because they deliver a premium, customizable keepsake that makes attendees feel like actual players. Fans scanned a QR code, entered their “player stats,” struck their best action pose, and watched as their personalized card was instantly printed and laminated on-site.

    The initial QR code scan wasn’t just for customization—it was a powerful lead generation tool. By having fans fill out their name and contact info on their own devices while waiting, we created a frictionless data collection process for the LA Clippers without slowing down the line.

    The on-site lamination process elevated this from a simple printout to an authentic-feeling sports collectible. Fans were thrilled to hold a physical, glossy card that solidified their status as part of the LA Clippers family.

The Power Forward: Digital Graffiti Wall

The magic of the Digital Graffiti Wall comes from tapping into the creativity of the attendees. This immersive activation perfectly matched the vibrant street-art culture of Los Angeles. Guests stepped up to a massive illuminated screen holding special, IR-emitting “spray cans.” While there was no real paint involved, the physical action and sound effects created an authentic feeling of spray-painting a mural.

    We pre-loaded the system with LA Clippers logos, NBA All-Star templates, and team colors. Fans were able to express their team pride in a deeply creative, interactive way, designing digital masterpieces that felt entirely their own.

    The digital nature of the wall meant the Clippers could offer a large-scale, tactile street-art experience without the mess, fumes, or cleanup of actual spray paint. Once finished, the artwork was easily saved, branded, and sent to the creator’s phone for social media sharing.

Artificial Intelligence can be used in infinite ways, and the LA Clippers knew exactly how to leverage it for maximum fun. We crafted a personalized experience that allowed fans to step right onto the court.

Attendees approached the AI Photo Booth, snapped a regular photo, and seconds later, our generative AI transformed them into a realistic, pro-quality version of themselves wearing a Clippers uniform. For the younger fans, there was even a stylized, animated bobblehead option!

    The ability to choose between a realistic NBA player edit or a fun bobblehead figurine meant the activation appealed to all ages. It provided a deeply personalized experience, prompting many fans to return multiple times to try out different versions of themselves.

Sometimes, the simplest play is the most reliable one. Our user-friendly Selfie Booth served as the anchor of the activation space. Fully self-operated, this station allowed guests to quickly and easily take pictures, record videos, and create GIFs without needing an attendant to guide them. There was no pressure—just the guest, the camera, and the excitement of the event.

    With over 5,000 attendees per day, minimizing bottlenecks was crucial. The intuitive interface allowed fans to cycle through the booth rapidly, ensuring constant, high-volume interaction and preventing long wait times in the fan zone.

    The Selfie Booth offered multiple output options, from classic still photos to dynamic, looping GIFs. This versatility meant that groups of friends could capture their energy exactly how they wanted, guaranteeing that the LA Clippers brand was attached to countless moments of joy throughout the weekend.
